No matter your headache or migraine needs, Northwestern Medicine Comprehensive Headache Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital is here for you. We provide care for both chronic and acute migraines and headaches. Here, your team includes board-certified neurologists

We use a collaborative approach that puts you at the center of your team. Our experts have special training and experience in the care of complex or hard-to-treat headache conditions.

To schedule an urgent appointment with the Comprehensive Headache Center, you must have an established headache diagnosis with a downtown Northwestern Medicine neurologist.

If you have not seen a Northwestern Medicine neurologist, please call 312.695.7950 to set up care with one.

• The center does not take walk-in patients. You must have an appointment.
• The center is not a substitute for the Emergency Department.
• The center does not fit the needs of every patient with headaches or migraines. We encourage you to talk with your clinician.

Urgent Headache Care Intake Process

If you’re a Northwestern Medicine patient and have a severe or persistent headache, please contact your neurology clinician as soon as possible. You may do this by:

• Sending a MyNM message to your neurology provider.
• Calling your clinician’s office at 312.695.7950.

After your message or call is received, a nurse will review your symptoms and work with your clinician to determine the best care plan for your needs. If they determine you need an infusion appointment, we’ll help schedule one.

We are committed to making sure you have timely access to care. Our goal is to accommodate urgent needs based on clinical appropriateness and appointment availability.
